Tool company connects with customers

Tool importer and manufacturer, Tool Connection, opened the doors of a new technical centre and showroom this week at its headquarters in Southam, Warwickshire

The plain-speaking UK business ambassador, Lord Digby Jones, officially opened the Tech Centre alongside MD Martin Smith and congratulated the company for the impressive journey it had taken since its humble beginnings in 1976 on a market stall in Leamington Spa.

The Tech Centre will be used to train its salesmen and customers’ personnel on all aspects of identifying the correct tool for the job and how to use it properly; this will then be passed on to technicians via its fleet of fully tooled-up vans. Mark Softley joins the company as Product Development Manager and is responsible for testing imported tools and coming up with innovative tools to simplify and speed up repairs and maintenance tasks.

Tool Connection distributes the Laser Tools, Gunson, Kamasa, Power-Tec, Eldon and RAC brands of tools and automotive products across the globe and has recently branched into online sales through the popular online site, Amazon. This move has proved so successful, the company has recently purchased an additional warehouse to meet customer demand.
