Service tool

An all-makes service tool for electronically-controlled brakes is available from Sykes-Pickavant. Functions include ‘EPB’ which will set the ECU to service mode for correct brake pad replacement, ‘CAL’ when brake pad calibration is required, ‘Reset’ of the ECU or dashboard light and ‘Fluid Purge’ for quick, effective brake bleeding.

You select the vehicle make and model on the screen and a list of braking functions will come up. The tool can also read and clear braking error codes. The tool covers 24 vehicle manufacturers and over 120 individual models.
