Thatcham shuffle
Thatcham, the Motor Insurance Repair Research Centre, has announced that, after 5 years as chairman of the centre’s board, Andrew Torrance is handing over to Pierre Lefèvre, Chairman and Chief Executive at Groupama and a member of the ABI General Insurance Council. Pierre Lefèvre joined Groupama Insurances in March 2002 as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, with specific responsibilities for the operations and strategic direction of the UK group together with ongoing liaison with Groupama in France. Pierre is a Belgian national and is fluent in English, French and Dutch. Further changes to be confirmed in February will see Guy Munnock from Zurich and Jack Brownhill of Groupama stepping aside after five and three years respectively on the Thatcham board and there will be three new faces, Jon Dye of Allianz Cornhill, Nigel Fleet of Royal & Sun Alliance and Bill Paton of Zurich.
