XPart adds Land Rover

XPart’s 220-strong network of AutoService centres will for the first time now be able to provide specialist service and repair for most Land Rover models, due to an optional upgrade of the MG Rover T4 diagnostic platform. The original T4 platform was developed by MG Rover and used by its entire approved service network. Since the collapse of the car maker, XPart has provided specialist MG Rover service and repair through its AutoService centre network, which are all equipped with the diagnostic system. “To be considered as an MG Rover specialist and become part of our network, garages must be equipped with the T4 diagnostic platform,” explains Craig Cooper, general manager, XPart. “To ensure that the AutoService centres have the latest diagnostic information we have made several developments to the T4 system in recent years, such as an all-makes capability. However, this latest addition of Land Rover data will give the network the opportunity to expand their diagnostic and repair services into further profitable areas.” The Land Rover upgrade contains software and cables that have been developed in conjunction with the vehicle manufacturer. It allows users to diagnose faults with most Land Rover vehicles including Defender, Discovery I and II, Freelander, classic Range Rover and Range Rover. Systems covered by the upgrade include engine management, ABS, climate control, airbag and many others.
