Febi Bilstein have international ambitions for ADL group

Car parts supplier ADL has been taken over by the Febi Bilstein Group in a deal for an undisclosed sum.

ADL, best known for its Blue Print brand, will see very little change with the exception of outgoing chairman Chris Jeffries who retires after heading the company for more than 27 years.

Martin Gorton, MD of Febi UK said: “The acquisition will strengthen what we can offer our international customers. He went on to explain that using the distribution channels in countries where Febi is already active will help the Blue Print brand access new markets.

ADL’s Managing Director, Daren Ambrose, highlighted that: “Customers and suppliers won’t notice any immediate changes as a result of ADL’s change of ownership,” he said. “We are the same company, with the same team in place and we will continue to focus on our core specialism of parts for Japanese, Korean and American vehicles. We are going to take the time to meet with customers and key suppliers throughout the next few months to give them a chance to ask questions and for us to have an opportunity to allay any concerns.”

Ambrose added, “This is a very positive move for the future of ADL and gives us access to the resources to provide both long-terms security for our workforce and the opportunity to truly internationalise the Blue Print brand.”
