An independent ‘garage concept' has gone live following a six-month trial
AutoCrew is a soft franchise, where garages can use the national name and branding to drive in more customers.
Twelve garages around the South East are in the network from launch, with a further 17 seeking accreditation. Like a workshop scheme, garages in the AutoCrew network are subjected to periodical audits as well as occasional ‘mystery shop' visits.
The concept is being run and promoted by component supplier Euro Car Parts, which has the exclusive rights to roll out the programme in the UK.
Tim McGing, network development manager from ECP said: "We will continue to recruit and appoint garages and we hope to have a nationwide network by the end of the year".
McGing added that while the new concept was developed by Bosch, it doesn't bear the German firm's branding and is not designed to compete with the established Bosch Car Service network. He believes that the range of products and services will differ greatly between the two. "They are entirely different propositions," he said.
