Newly-qualified technician, John Couldridge, has secured a much-coveted place on Team UK at WorldSkills London 2011 where he will compete within the ‘Automobile Technology’ skills category against contemporaries from more than 50 other countries/regions in what is the largest global skills competition in the world.
John graduated from Honda’s apprentice programme in 2009 and works for franchised dealer Glyn Hopkin in Chelmsford. “I’m absolutely delighted,” he beams. “I’ve lived, breathed and slept this thing for two years now and to finally have my place confirmed is just awesome. My friends, my partner and my family have been behind me 100% so naturally, they’re all over the moon, too. I couldn’t have done it without them or the incredible support I’ve been given by my training manager and also everyone at the dealership.
The event takes place at ExCel London from 5th – 8th October, 2011.
