A prize to reward the most innovative new product or service will be given out at this year’s EquipAuto show.
Most firms have yet to reveal their nominations, but Warwickshire-based Delphi has already thrown its hat into the ring and announced the two products that it will be submitting.
One item is a fuel analyser, which can detect contaminated petrol or diesel, including if it has been prepared with an excess quantity of biodiesel. The other is an electronic sound generator for electric cars. This device can provide a realistic sound both inside and out of the car, giving unwary pedestrians a chance to flee from the otherwise silent cars.
The Innovation Awards – selected by an international panel of judges – highlight the most innovative concepts, products and services presented by Equip Auto exhibitors. The award ceremony will take place at the show on October 11, 2011 at 7:00pm.
