BRAKE product manufacturer TMD Friction has been acquired by Nisshinbo Holdings Incorporated, a Japanese aftermarket group listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange for an undisclosed amount.
The firms state that the combination of the two companies will create the world’s largest brake manufacturer by volume. The companies have revenues of over €1.0 billion between them and over 6,000 employees.
In the UK TMD are best known for the Mintex, Pagid and Textar brands of discs, drums and pads.
