ENGINE control manufacturer Standard Motor Products Europe Ltd (SMPE), has announced that it has acquired all of the capital stock of Fuelparts UK Ltd for an undisclosed sum.
Fuelparts UK Ltd has office and distribution facilities in Bromsgrove and distributes a range of engine management, catalytic convertor, clutch, filter and other automotive products.
Mr. Ian Turner, Standard Motor Products Europe Managing Director stated, “We are very pleased to announce this acquisition, which we believe will confirm our position as the leading supplier of Engine Management parts to the aftermarket”.
He added “Fuelparts has been a successful supplier of their products for many years with a good reputation for range, service and quality. By combining the SMPE and Fuelpart ranges and expertise, we will be able to create an extremely attractive offer for all our customers”.
Commenting on questions regarding the future of Fuelparts Mr Turner added “It is our intention to maintain and develop operations from both the Fuelparts Bromsgrove site and SMPE’s Nottingham premises, maintaining security of employment for the skilled teams on both sites and continuity of service for all of our customers”
