Gates has expanded the number of replacement parts available for the accessory belt drive system. The programme includes OE equivalent multi-ribbed belts, all necessary metal components, tools, routing diagrams and technical bulletins to guide technicians.
Gates offers more than 98% coverage of the European car parc with its multi-ribbed belts and tensioners. All of Gates Micro-V XF belts are made out of EPDM as they are said to offer the best resistance against extreme temperatures and are preferred by OEMs.
Gates also provides a large selection of metal components such as tensioners, idlers and torsional vibration dampers. The latest addition is a line of overrunning alternator pulleys, which means all wear and tear parts of the accessory belt drive system are now available from a single supplier.
For cars no longer equipped with automatic tensioners, Gates supplies the necessary components under the trade name Stretch Fit™. Gates was one of the first to offer both elastic belts and the necessary tools to install this special type of belt. All belt routing diagrams are freely available.
