Look after shock absorbers

With cold weather approaching, the company says it’s a good time to start thinking about shock units.
These service kits help counteract the extreme forces shock units go through on daily basis, resulting in the kind of damage shown above. These kits can help avoid this and the expensive replacement of an entire shock unit.
Each service kit serves the entire axle and consists of two pressure stops or compression buffers, two bellows and a protective tube or dust cap.
Technical manager Matt Shakespeare says: “In an overload situation, like driving at high speeds over a pothole, the service kit’s pressure stop prevents the bottom valve from being destroyed by the impact from the pressure rod.”
