The third generation Power Probe is a 12 to 24 Volt circuit tester created to promote fast and accurate electrical systems diagnosis. The tool features a voltmeter, test light, integrated flashlight, short circuit indicator, relay/component tester, three level continuity tester and bad ground indicator.
In contrast to its predecessor, it has an LCD screen, on which it displays voltage. The old model would indicate whether electricity was present in a circuit but the Power Probe 3 tells you exactly what the power is so you no longer need to use a digital multi meter to assess a circuit’s strength.
After attaching the probe’s clips to the vehicle battery, you can see the voltage level and polarity of the circuit without the need to grab a volt meter or reconnect hook-up clips from one battery pole to the other. You are able to activate and test the function of electrical components by putting a positive or negative battery current to the tip of the probe and instantly checks for bad ground contacts and hunts down short circuits without wasting fuses.
