Hybrid servicing

Hybrid vehicles are starting to enter the independent’s workshop doors so if you haven’t done so already, it’s time to take a look at the equipment out there that you’ll need to service a hybrid safely and effectively.

One such piece of kit is Bosch’s ESI tronic package and the KTS range of diagnostic tools which includes hybrid diagnostic functions and guided trouble-shooting, so newer models, such as the Toyota Prius, can be fully diagnosed, repaired and maintained.

It’s highly advisable to attend training on hybrids before you start working on them as you’ll encounter extremely high voltages. Bosch has recently added hybrid courses to its technical training programme.
