IGA director reacts to BBC programme

'Your Money, Their Tricks' slammed by industry expert

THE RMIs Independent Garage Association (IGA) Director has reacted to an episode of 'Your Money, Their Tricks' aired on BBC One.

"Whilst the Independent Garage Association (IGA) is aware that there are some areas of concern within the motor industry, it is unfair and unjustified to judge all garages based on this one example" said Stuart James, commenting on the BBC programme.

The programme saw the motor trade come under the spotlight and suggested that one of Britain's biggest fast fit chains, Kwik-Fit, makes drivers to pay for unnecessary work. James added that his organisation's 'Trust My Garage' code was set up to give consumers 'peace of mind' against such behaviour.
