ECP shakes up paint market with six acquisitions

Parts giant buys Iris Coatings and five other UK distributors

PAINT distribution and marketing firm Iris Coatings has been acquired by Euro Car Parts' owner LKQ Euro along with five other UK distributors for an undisclosed sum. As part of the acquisition, LKQ Euro has also gained a 100% shareholding in iris, the sales and marketing specialist for refinishing distribution.

This acquisition represents 26 locations nationwide effective from August 6th 2013. A number of managers from the acquired companies will head up the newly-formed LKQ Euro Paint and Refinish division.

JCA Coatings Ltd ("JCA")

9 branches in South / South West England and South Wales

Milton Keynes Paint & Equipment Ltd ("MKPE")

5 branches in South East England

Sinemaster Motor Factors Ltd ("Sinemaster")

8 branches in Midlands / North England and Scotland

Bee Bee Refinishing Supplies Halstead Ltd ("Bee Bee")

3 branches in Eastern England

Premier Paints Ltd("Premier")

1 branch in Romford, Essex
