Cut price servicing

Halfords Autocentres introduces new pricing structure

Published:  28 October, 2013

The independent garage chain has reduced the price of an interim service on any make or model of car to £79, in a bid to attract motorists away from main dealers and encourage car owners to keep up with regular maintenance.

Spokesman Rory Carlin says: "Ignoring or putting off servicing is a false economy because it increases the risk of potential damage to a vehicle and the likely repair costs to rectify it. We believe our new price structure makes doing the right thing for your car even better financial sense."

The company says that main dealers charge up to 40% more and its service schedules are just as comprehensive. Customers can also save £30 by booking online and other discounts are available if a service is carried out with an MOT.
