IMI warning

Failure to comply with new air con rules will result in penalties

THE IMI is urging workshops to check they comply with air con service regulations after European rules were updated.

All individuals who handle air conditioning refrigerant gases need to have been trained and certificated. The minimum requirement is some form of in-house training. However, after July 2010, all technicians will require further training and certification.
