Aftermarket presented with BEN charity award

Published:  16 March, 2011

AFTERMARKET editor Tom Mallens was presented with a certificate of appreciation from automotive charity BEN at the Garage Equipment Association's annual dinner at the Birmingham Metropole on April 29th.

The award was presented by BEN Chief Executive David Main and was in recognition of valuable contributions made to the automotive charity. Editor Tom Mallens and colleague Simon Gardner raised over £5,000 during an Aftermarket On Tour charity trip to 100 garages in 10 days, last Autumn.

Managing director of Crystal Communications Paul Dearing commented, "Ben is a charity close to all of our hearts and although at Aftermarket we do not raise awareness and funds for recognition, we were extremely honoured to receive the award".

Thank you to all of the individuals and companies who made generous contributions along the way.
