Tools from Sealey

Published:  26 June, 2014

This little tool is approved by VOSA as a headlamp beam setter. The mini tripod can be placed on the bonnet or any surface on the test area and there are two magnets on the base for attaching it to ferrous surfaces. A laser dot indicates if the beam setter is in or out of calibration - it can be used for all sorts of levelling tasks using the line or dot functions. The unit features in Sealey's summer promotion which runs from 1st June to 30th September.

  • Ready for Euro 6?

Euro Six regulations came into force at New Year, further limiting the amount of particulate matter and nitrogen oxides allowed in new diesel vehicle emissions. Draper Tools has a kit which identifies the quality of Adblue being sold or used within a vehicle - the quality of which is paramount to the effectiveness of the selective catalytic reduction technology used to reduce NOx emissions. The device measures the mixture of urea to see if it's at the correct ratio of 32.5%.

  • Making lighter work of suspension tasks

This rack end removal tool makes removing the rack end/inner track rod a much simpler task as there's no need to remove the steering rack from the car first. It is especially useful when working in tight spaces. You just slide the tool over and onto the knuckle with a hex drive, two flats or round ends. It can be used on knuckles with a diameter of 25-55mm. It is important not to mount a strut directly in the vice because you can damage the cylinder body easily due to the force needed to hold it in place. A strut vice clamp can be mounted in any suitable bench vice, horizontally or vertically and this mounts the strut securely so you can dismantle it with ease. Both Laser tools are available through Tool Connection.
