Glow plug cleaner

Glow plug cleaner from Laser Tools

Published:  16 July, 2013

Glow plug seizures are common within the cylinder head and are partially due to carbon entering the glow plug bore. When replacing the plug you should clean out the aperture within the cylinder head, particularly around the area of the glow plug heater element tip.

This glow plug aperture cleaner from Laser Tools can be used on M8 and M9 apertures and simply screws into the glow plug threads and reams out any carbon from within the bore. Two guide bushes are supplied and these are adjustable to suit many applications.

"This additive is a practical new service for garages that can save their customers a great deal of expense," explains Liqui Moly spokesman Schönfelder. "And this will show competence to boot, which strengthens the relationship with the customer."
