A new cutting head available as an upgrade for its on-car brake lathes from Pro-Cut

Published:  12 September, 2012

A new cutting head has been designed by Pro-Cut, available as an upgrade for its on-car brake lathes. The G2X upgrade is based on a new parallel-arm cutting head which has over-sized adjustment dials and an integrated micrometer. This plugs into Pro-Cut’s on-board computer and provides a digital read-out of disc thickness so you can set the cut depth and monitor thickness throughout the skimming process. An extendable tool arms accommodate oversized discs.

MD of Pro-Cut, Peter Spraggs, said: “Once we designed the new cutting head with a linear transducer we had all the pieces we needed to offer this very obvious, but very valuable design feature.  This provides a nice stepping stone between our basic lathes and the full package, in terms of both technology and price point.”
