Top care scheme for garages

Car Care Centre from Unipart

Published:  19 March, 2010

Wendy Williamson, Unipart Automotive’s marketing director, reckons its Car Care Centre scheme (UCCC) provides garages with a good mix of corporate support while allowing them to maintain their independence.

“UCCCs have free access to an independent arbitration service to help resolve any disputes with customers plus a number of other benefits such as work direction, marketing support, a technical helpline and branding and signage,” says Wendy.

There are a number of so-called ‘value-added’ programmes on offer to members too, including free courtesy cars, garage management systems, high street vouchers and discounts off business materials. “There is no cost to the franchise of appointing a UCCC but the garage must meet a set of standards, agree to honour the terms of the nationwide guarantee and be spending over £1,500 a month on Unipart parts,” added Wendy.

The Unipart scheme aims to give garages accepted as members a ready-made brand they can use to attract extra business – together with support on everything from running a business to marketing. A strong supporter of the Code of Practice for Service and Repair, Unipart subsidises members to join the scheme as part of their Car Care Centre membership.
