Automechanika Birmingham set to open

UK's first event runs for three days at the NEC

Published:  06 June, 2016

The UK’s first Automechanika Birmingham event opens tomorrow with 550 exhibitors looking to connect with garage owners and technicians.

The new annual event takes place at the NEC between June 7th and 9th and offers visitors the opportunity to see as many suppliers of parts, tools and technology under one roof. There are also several seminars being hosted by industry experts, including in the Aftermarket seminar theatre, sponsored by Aftermarket Magazine.<

Autogem Invicta’s Director, Prashant Chopra, comments: “For 20 years Automechanika Frankfurt has always been a key show for both the Autogem and Invicta brands. To have it now on our doorstep is fantastic news and it’s been a long time since we had a dedicated show for our sector of the industry. We are looking forward to not only presenting TPMS at the Aftermarket seminar theatre, but also to launching our new consumables catalogue, the new TPMS.FIT training programme, as well as our latest iteration of our market leading I-sensor TPMS solution amongst other developments on our stand.”

Aliya Lam, head of Customer Care & Marketing Communications from MAHLE Aftermarket UK: “We believe it is important to support the first ever Automechanika UK show and in the process that we’ll meet a large number of technicians, the people at the front-line who actually fit our products, day in and day out. This relationship building is good for both MAHLE Aftermarket and the end-user.

“From our highly professional stand, visitors will see for themselves the number of product groups (filtration, thermal management, forced induction, rotating electrics, engine parts, gaskets etc.) that MAHLE is now involved with and the depth of our expertise as one of the largest OE system providers.

“Our presentation, underlining the importance of understanding integrated systems when diagnosing problems, takes place in the Aftermarket Theatre on Thursday afternoon and is sure to benefit technicians looking to expand their knowledge.”

Aftermarket will be covering the event through our social media channels. We will be doing some live videos throughout the three days on our Facebook page – www.facebook.com/aftermarketmagazine - and on Twitter - www.twitter.com/aftermarket01 – where we will be asking your views on the show and what you’ve seen that excites you. Tweet us using #aftautomech and we could read your tweet out on our end of day round-up videos, available on the Aftermarket YouTube channel and our social media pages.
