The six finalists of Top Technician 2014 have been announced after a gruelling semi-final stage at the Delphi Training Centre in Warwick.

The next stage of the competition will see the six finalists undertake a number of more detailed and difficult tasks at the Honda Institute in Slough on 16th May, while the winner and runner up will be presented with their prizes, from a fund of more than £16,000, at Top Technician Live on 30th May at Mercedes Benz World in Surrey.

Competition organiser Nicola St. Clair comments: "The semi-final was a closely fought contest of skill and ability across a range of different challenges. Those who did not make the cut should be very proud of their achievement, reaching the final 12 from the 600 who entered is a testament to their abilities."

Maurice Morton from Dickies adds: "I would like to congratulate the final six for Top Technician 2014 and we are delighted to present them a  pair of Antrim boots which I hope will be useful for their working day. This competition is important to highlight what a vital role skilled technicians play and I wish the finalists all the best."
