McLoughlin replaces Justine Greening as Transport Minister

Published:  04 September, 2012

TORY Whip Patrick McLoughlin will replace Justine Greening as Transport Minister.

McLoughlin has been a part of the whip's office since 1995. He has been an MP since 1986, when he was selected to fight a seat in a by-election caused by the resignation of Matthew Parris.

He is known to favour the construction of a third runway at Heathrow - something his predecessor was very much opposed to.
