Plug and play pumps

Brakes from AMK

Published:  25 June, 2014

Changes at the remanufacturer AMK has resulted in a new company logo and re-design of all packaging. New products include the launch of steering columns and the exclusive UK distribution of Sidem branded steering and suspension parts. The Lucas rotating electrics range has grown with 'Stop/Start' references. The company also supplies J-Tech HPI product, providing electric pumps which are pre-programmed to the ECU for 'plug and play' pumps. The ready-to-fit pumps come with a warranty of 12 months or 12,000 miles. AMK spokesman, Simon Salloway, said: "There is no doubt that you get what you pay for. It would be fair to say that AMK is not alone in being worried about the quality of some products, which are being distributed in our industry. This could have a catastrophic reaction if requirements for inferior cheaper priced products continue, as only one thing happens; the quality declines and the entire aftermarket could be the losers."
