Making lighter work of suspension tasks

Tools from Tool Connection

Published:  12 June, 2014

This rack end removal tool makes removing the rack end/inner track rod a much simpler task as there's no need to remove the steering rack from the car first. It is especially useful when working in tight spaces. You just slide the tool over and onto the knuckle with a hex drive, two flats or round ends. It can be used on knuckles with a diameter of 25-55mm. It is important not to mount a strut directly in the vice because you can damage the cylinder body easily due to the force needed to hold it in place. A strut vice clamp can be mounted in any suitable bench vice, horizontally or vertically and this mounts the strut securely so you can dismantle it with ease. Both Laser tools are available through Tool Connection.
