Published:  19 July, 2017

Helmut Ernst, head of ZF Aftermarket, is now overseeing all market and product topics of the organisation following the decision of Neil Fryer to leave the company at his own request to take on a new role outside the company.

Neil Fryer joined ZF Aftermarket as global aftermarket marketing and engineering director in 2014. He became vice president and global aftermarket director in 2015.  Helmut Ernst also joined ZF Aftermarket in 2014. Prior to joining the company he had held many senior roles at Continental Tyres over the last few decades.

Following the acquisition of TRW by ZF in May 2015, the integration of the two companies started to form a united market approach as one ZF Aftermarket organization since 1 January 2017.

Commenting on Neil Fryer’s contribution, Helmut Ernst said: “He played a decisive role in shaping the ZF Aftermarket organization while simultaneously keeping customers’ expectations and experience always in focus.

“We thank him for his achievements and support in the course of the integration.”

With his team Neil worked continuously on the optimization of the product and service portfolio to secure market growth for the customers.

Commenting on his role going forward with the team, Helmut said: “The dedicated team, all of whom are aftermarket experts, will shape together with me the mobility of the future in the aftermarket.”
