- Comline: Steering and suspension release
Comline has added to its steering and suspension offering. Among the additions to the range is a ball joint for a Fiat Doblo 263 (2010-), Opel Combo III diesel (2011-) and Vauxhall Corsa III diesel (2006-2015). There are control arms for the Nissan X-Trail T30 (2001-2013); BMW 1 E81 (2006-2012) and 3 (2004-2013); Citroën C4 I (2004-2011) and Peugeot 307 (2011-2012); Ford Tourneo Connect (2002-2013) and Ford Transit Connect (2002-2013).There are also strut mounting kits for a number of Nissan models, while Comline offers solutions for the Ford Transit VI (2000-2006) and Peugeot 3008 I (2009-2016) and 5008 I (2009-2016).

- LKQ Euro Car Parts expands Starline
LKQ Euro Car Parts has by taken its Starline brand into electrics and wiper blades.
The expansion means there is now a wide range of Starline electrical components – as the HAAS range is effectively re-branded – including ignition coils, EGR valves and engine sensors, for most of the UK car parc. Meanwhile, they can also choose from Starline’s new range of flat and universal wiper blades.
- Textar: New-to-range brake discs
Textar has added brake discs for the Mercedes Benz E-Class (2016), Land Rover Discovery and Range Rover IV (2017) as well as the Volkswagen Amarok (2016). Textar, which is manufactured TMD Friction, covers 99.9% of the UK car parc and includes pads, discs, accessories and brake fluid. The range of brake pads is further complemented by a wide range of brake discs, including high carbon as well as composite discs.
- June new car sales: Weakest since 1996
New car sales fell by 24.3% last month, making it the weakest June since 1996, according to the latest figures from the SMMT, with ongoing parts supply issues along with additional pandemic restrictions in China being blamed for impeding the industry’s ability to meet demand. Just 140,958 new vehicles were registered, during the month.
- UK used car market grows 5.1% in Q1 2022
The UK’s used car market increased 5.1% in the first quarter of 2022, according to the latest figures released today by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). 1,774,351 cars were sold during the period, 86,596 more than during the same period in 2021.
January saw a 17.7% increase, while February went up by 7.4%. However, in March sales fell by 6.8%, which reflected the strong March in 2021.Overall, used car sales are still 12.2% below the pre-pandemic of 2019.
