Top Technician / Top Garage - Terms and Conditions 2023

Top Technician 2023
The promoter is: Aftermarket magazine/DFA Media Group whose registered office is at 192 High Street, Tonbridge, Kent, TN9 1BE
1: Contestants must work as a vehicle technician in a professional capacity and have done so continuously for the last three years.
2: The competition is open to professional technicians except those otherwise connected with the organisation, the promoter or judging of this competition or Top Garage.
3: Contestants must not be trainers or instructors (or associated with similar roles) providing courses or training covering subjects related to the automotive sector.
4: Technicians who have provided training or worked as instructors within the last three years also render themselves ineligible to participate as a contestant for Top Technician.
5: There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
6: By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

8: Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
9: Closing date for entry will be at the end of the first round of Top Technician, which closes at 23.59 on 31st March 2023. After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
10: No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason provided.
11: The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God or any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.
12: The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition
13: The prize(s) is as stated, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prize(s) are not transferable. Prize(s) are subject to availability and the promoter reserves the right to substitute any prize(s) with another of equivalent value without giving notice.
14: Winner(s) will be chosen as a result of the judging process as the competition progresses by a panel of judge(s) appointed by the promoter.
15: The winner (s) and runner(s) up will be notified at the Top Technician/Top Garage Awards Dinner, to be held on 14th October 2023.
16: The promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prizes from the winner(s) and pick a replacement winner(s) if required.
17: The promoter will notify the winner (s) when and where the prize can be collected / is delivered.
18: The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
19: By entering this competition, an entrant is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
20: The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
21: The winner agrees to the use of his/her name and image in any publicity material, as well as their entry.
22: Any personal data relating to the winner or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current GDPR and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.
23: All business / personal data will remain at all times confidential unless otherwise indicated.
24: Competitors enter at their own risk. The organisers of the competition cannot accept responsibility for any personal injury / death through any of the competitors actions carried out in/during the competition (online or practical).
25: Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
26: Aftermarket magazine/DFA Media Group shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon making them publicly available.
27: Aftermarket magazine/DFA Media Group reserve the rights to cancel the competition if circumstances arise outside of its control.
Top Garage 2023
1: By entering this competition, a business is indicating its agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
2: Any business (sole trader to multi person business) that enters Top Garage must operate as vehicle repair business in a permanent, professional capacity and have done so continuously for the last three years.
3: The competition is open to all businesses except those connected with the promoter or those linked with the competition.
4: Businesses must not be providing training courses or training covering subjects related to the automotive sector.
5: Businesses that provide training or whose staff (contracted or employed by the business) operate as instructors in the automotive sector within the last three years also render themselves ineligible to participate.
6: There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.
7: There is no restriction on previous winners of the Top Garage competition entering the competition in subsequent years.
8: There is no restriction on previous winners of the Top Technician competition entering the Top Garage competition.
