New Ferodo composite brake discs for BMW

Ferodo has launched a new composite brake disc range for BMW vehicles. The discs offer 30% reduced weight, with the intention being to enhance vehicle efficiency and braking performance. The discs feature a high carbon cast iron surface area and aluminium bell. The range provides components for a number of BMW passenger vehicles. The new brake disc range is initially available across 17 part numbers, and is suitable for many popular models, with more expected.

- Pagid bolsters brake range
Pagid has added 20 new product lines to its range so far in 2018, further extending its aftermarket coverage. The update sees additions for the front brake pads on the VW Arteon (2017 -) and the BMW i8 plug-in hybrid (2014 -). It also has new brake disc applications for the Nissan Navarra (NP300 2015) and the Renault Megane (2016 -). - Klarius: New exhausts, CATS and DPFs
Klarius' latest new-to-range parts include 49 new exhausts, CATs and DPFs for a variety of vehicles. New catalytic converters added to range meet the needs of Nissan’s Note, Cube and Qashqai 1.6. The new DPFs are for a wide selection of German models, such as the BMW 5 series diesel (2003-2007), as well as Volkswagen’s Golf 1.6 TDI (2009-2012) and Passat (2010).On the exhaust side, new items are available for BMW, Ford, Honda, Renault and VAG cars. Commercial vehicles also enjoy increased attention; with the Citroen Relay, Peugeot Boxer, Renault Trafic, Vauxhall Vivaro, Fiat Ducato and Doblo seeing new replacement exhausts.

- Johnson Controls EFB range
90% of all newly produced vehicles have a Stop/Start system, which requires a more comprehensive energy supply than conventional cars with few electrical functions. - Euro Car Parts bolsters braking range
Euro Car Parts has bolstered its range of braking products, adding 87 new references across Eicher, Pagid and Brembo. Among the raft of new product additions are 38 new discs added to the Eicher range, including rear brake discs for the 2015 Ford Transit Connect, front brake discs for the Kia Sportage 2016 and front brake discs for BMW Series 2 vehicles manufactured after 2014. A range of specialist high carbon brake discs has also been launched by Eicher. Products from Pagid include front brake discs for the Nissan Navarra NP300 2015 model, plus new discs from Brembo, for applications including Jaguar XE and XF models from 2015 onwards.

- Textar: New to range expanding locks
Textar has widened its aftermarket product range via the new addition of expanding locks, intended to ensure reliable handbrake function. Damage to expanding locks is common in certain drum brake designs as the condition of the handbrake can only be determined when the brake discs are removed. Most manufacturers recommend replacing expanding locks every four years. Textar, which is manufactured by TMD Friction, covers 99.9% of the UK car parc and includes pads, discs, accessories and brake fluid.
