Subs holiday for RAC/Autofirst member garages

Published:  08 July, 2020

All garages in the RAC Approved Garages network, powered by Autofirst, have been granted a membership subscription payment holiday and are also being provided with a new COVID-19 code of conduct that provides guidelines on safe working.

Garages were granted the payment holiday regardless of whether they closed or chose to remain open during lockdown.

Wayne Large, Director at AR Motors in Canvey, said: “The payment holiday has really helped to support our business during the pandemic, allowing us to keep our doors open for customers in what has been a challenging time for the industry.”

Edward Cockill, Director at Uckfield Motor Services, commented: “The Approved Garages payment holiday has allowed us to maintain high standards of service for our customers, without worrying about costs.”

Lee Forty, from Autofirst, observed: “These measures are designed to help garages not only reduce their outgoings during this critical time, but ensure that both staff and customers feel as safe as possible in the garage environment – critical for getting businesses back up and running.

Adam O’Neill, Head of Motoring Services at the RAC, added: “First and foremost, we are here to support all the garages that are members of our nationwide network through this difficult time.”
