Warwickshire-based Cross Motor Engineering has become the 500th garage to sign up to garage network AA Prestige, which  has seen a 25% increase in membership over the past 18 months. The network intends to keep on growing too, and is aiming for 1,200 garages in the network by 2021.

Family-owned Cross Motor Engineering has been operating in Alcester since 1983, and is based in a 4,000 sq ft purpose-built garage,  with six ramps and a dedicated MOT lane.  Second-generation business owner Luke Cross said: “We’re excited to be joining the AA Prestige network at a time of great change in the industry. We pride ourselves on offering a professional, high quality and competitive service, keeping up with the latest technology and offering substantial development opportunities for our loyal and local team.

Joe Bhamra, Commercial Director at AA Prestige, commented: “As well as marking its 500th business customer garage, AA Prestige is also well on the way to reaching 650 consumer-facing garages. A quarter of a million transactions take place across the network each year, tracked throughout the service, maintenance, and repair journey via the real-time UNITY dashboard.

“In recent months, AA Prestige has seen double-digit new customer growth, while around 70% of garages remained open during lockdown, supporting key workers and their vehicles to remain on the road. The team also assisted a vehicle manufacturer with warranty repairs whose own network was temporarily closed.”
