“Open as usual” over lockdown 2.0 - LKQ Euro Car Parts CEO reassures customers

Published:  11 November, 2020

LKQ Euro Car Parts CEO Andy Hamilton recently wrote to the company’s customers to reassure them that they will continue to see local branches open for their parts requirements following the imposition of the new lockdown in England last Thursday (5 November).

In the email, Andy said: “As per the last lockdown, our branch network will continue to open as usual.”

He continued: “We know it’s set to be an incredibly busy time for you, particularly as we’re expecting a doubling in normal MOT demand, with 4 million tests set to take place during November. Our teams have been working hard to make sure you have everything you need from us to meet this demand, whilst keeping our colleagues and our customers safe.

“We’ll continue to use our Omnihub channel to regularly update you on the latest news and guidance and you can utilise our online service through Omnipart to find and order parts 24/7.”

On the impact of measures across the rest of the UK, Andy said: “We have continued to trade through the recent restrictions brought into the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland and Wales; we’ve learnt from these experiences and are confident we can continue to maintain normal services to you during this time.”

Looking to Brexit, Andy observed: “Even in the face of these latest developments, Brexit is still firmly on our agenda. We’ve been creating and adapting contingency plans for all of the possible scenarios for the past 18 months and are working collaboratively with both our European and UK based suppliers to cover all eventualities.”

He concluded: “For us, customers remain our absolute priority and we are doing everything we can to ensure we continue to offer seamless, unbeatable service.”
