55% of drivers consider going electric
Published: 03 February, 2021
More than 55% of drivers are thinking about buying an electric car according to new research from AX.
The study was undertaken by the insurer to coincide with its launch AX Electric, a new service offering like-for-like replacement for EV owners following an accident.
Scott Hamilton-Cooper, Director of Sales and Operations for AX, said: “Only a third of survey respondents said they would accept a diesel or petrol replacement for their EV and AX Electric solves what will soon become a significant challenge in replacement mobility.
He added: “As well as the new service and an expanding fleet of EVs vehicles, we are also investing in infrastructure across our various sites, ensuring we have the charge points to ensure our customers’ – and our own – vehicles are fully charged before driving away.”
