The Clarke Raider 15/550, available via MachineMart, is a 50 Litre, 3HP direct drive air compressor with v-twin-cylinder pump. It is designed for workshop applications including as large scale spraying. It can also be used for nailing, stapling, polishing, sanding and general garage use. It comes with twin air outlets.

- Gates: Three new hose ranges
Gates is introducing three new automotive hose ranges. The three new hose ranges are
molded fuel lines for petrol and diesel applications in fuel management systems, crankcase ventilation hoses for air control systems and air intake hoses for air control systems. The new ranges will be introduced complete with online technical support and follow the introduction of cooling system and turbo hoses added to the Gates product portfolio last year.

- New UV light cleaner from OSRAM
OSRAM has launched the Air Zing Mini air purifier, which deploys ultraviolet light to remove germs from the air inside vehicles. The UV works at a wavelength of 360 to 370 nanometers and OSRAM says it has already been successfully tested against bird flu viruses.
A photo-catalytic reaction kills viruses and bacteria cells before the purified air is expelled through the top of the housing. The filter can be cleaned with clear tap water, dried and reused and can also be used freestanding, making applications outside the car possible, including on office desks.
