Castrol launches new large garage programme

Published:  03 November, 2021

Castrol has launched a new own branded workshop programme for larger independents, with the first garage to take it on based in Warwickshire.

Castrol Auto Service is already running in Europe, and has now been brought to the UK.
The programme dovetails into the Castrol Branded Workshop scheme, which will continue to offer independent workshops training, branded marketing assets and a range of support services. The Castrol Auto Service programme has been set up specifically for larger workshops that consume and sell over 7,000 litres of lubricant a year.

The first business to sign up is Arden Garages in Stratford-upon-Avon, a former franchised dealer which is becoming an independent aftermarket business.

Participating businesses get access to Castrol-branded signage and vehicle decals, online training and marketing support. Garages that sign up will also be able to access other services, including Castrol’s Engine Warranty scheme and its Google My Business service.

Amanda Taylor, UK Marketing Manager at Castrol, commented: “This programme has been piloted very successfully in other European countries, including Germany and Belgium, so we’re delighted to now be able to offer it to build long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships between Castrol and the UK’s most respected independent workshops. We know these businesses will be able to leverage the trusted Castrol brand to attract new customers and showcase a quality-led aftersales proposition.”

David Titchmarsh, Managing Director at Arden Garages added: “As we move away from being a franchised new car dealership, we are determined to continue offering our customers a first-class experience. By partnering with Castrol, we can deliver our goal, with access to premium quality lubricants, offers and services designed to increase footfall with a name customers’ can trust.”

The Race Group, part of Certas Energy, is partnering with Castrol on the programme.
