SYNETIQ: New Green Parts Director

Integrated salvage, dismantler and vehicle recycler SYNETIQ has named Sarah Hirst as its new Green Parts Director.
Commenting on her new role, Sarah said: “I’m pleased to join SYNETIQ at a particularly exciting time. Having worked in vehicle repair and fleet management, I understand the crucial factors that allow green parts to be used effectively. For us, it’s about taking a partnership approach with garages, bodyshops and insurance repair partners, to ensure we can unlock the potential of sustainable vehicle repair together.”
Sarah previously held senior roles at Copart and the RAC, and has 30 years’ overall experience across the industry.

A surge in the number of parts now on backorder from OEM vehicle manufacturers is expected to lead to an increase in the number of vehicles being written off, Synetiq has warned, and the company has set up a team to support bodyshops with parts supply issues as a result.

The new references include new rocker covers for the Vauxhall Insignia, Mokka and Mokka X cars, as well as for BMW vehicles in the 1 and 3 Series. There are also inlet manifolds for a number of Audi, BMW, Seat, Skoda and Volkswagen vehicles.New parts to the febiPLUS range include brake disc shields, with references for the Audi A3, Seat Leon, Skoda Octavia and VW Golf, as well as for the Mercedes Benz C-Class and for BMW 3 Series vehicles (1997-2007).
