Mega macs X connects wirelessly to most external display and input devices, whether that is a tablet, notebook or PC running Windows, Mac OS, Linux or Android. Design features include a built-in bracket at the rear of the device, allowing mega macs X to be attached to a vehicle window when in use. Meanwhile, the OBD plug has an integrated flashlight. On the inside, current communication interfaces, such as CAN FD and DoIP, are supported. Two optional measurement technology modules enable the mega macs X to be used as a two-channel multimeter. Suitable for use with hybrid and electric vehicles, the MT-X enables measurement of voltages up to 1,000 volts DC, while connecting wirelessly to the mega macs X via Bluetooth.

  • UK used car market grows 5.1% in Q1 2022 

    The UK’s used car market increased 5.1% in the first quarter of 2022, according to the latest figures released today by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). 1,774,351 cars were sold during the period, 86,596 more than during the same period in 2021.
    January saw a 17.7% increase, while February went up by 7.4%. However, in March sales fell by 6.8%, which reflected the strong March in 2021.Overall, used car sales are still 12.2% below the pre-pandemic of 2019.

  • National Refrigerants: R1234yf  


    Legislation introduced in January 2017 meant all carmakers in Europe had to introduce new technology to reduce the global warming potential (GWP) of the refrigerant used in the air conditioning system. This change means that all new cars must run on technology containing refrigerant with a GWP of less than 150 in order to comply. By comparison, the refrigerant previously used was R-134a which has a GWP of 1,430. National Refrigerants was appointed as Honeywell’s Solstice R1234yf UK authorised re-packer and distributor in January 2013 and has been offering fully legally compliant material to ARI-700-2016 specification ever since. Honeywell Solstice R1234yf product is available from National Refrigerants in 5kg, 10kg, 57kg and 900kg cylinders.
