Automechanika Birmingham expands

New hall added to cope with exhibition demand

Published:  12 August, 2015

Automechanika Birmingham has announced plans to expand the event into another hall at the NEC following strong demand for exhibition space.

Originally planned to take place in Hall 9, organisers have now decided to open into Hall 10 as well, following the sale of 60% of spaces in just eight weeks. Capacity has therefore increased from 250 exhibition stands to 350 as a result.

The event will run on 7-9 June 2016 and is a collaboration between Automechanika organiser Messe Frankfurt and the SMMT. The two companies hope the event will become the premier automotive trade show on the UK calendar, offering companies from across the industry the opportunity to showcase their capabilities to a domestic and international client base.

Exhibition sales continue to grow in strong fashion with big brands from both the original equipment and aftermarket component manufacturing sectors continuing to add their names to the show.
